A weather front moving across the southern part of the United States struck Talladega, Ala., at precisely the same time of the scheduled start of the Aaron's 499 at Talladega Superspeedway. Shortly after the command to fire engines at 1:10 p.m. CDT, rain showers started across the 2.66-mile superspeedway, breaking only briefly throughout the day. NASCAR officials elected to cancel today's race event and have rescheduled it for tomorrow. The rescheduled race time is 11 a.m. CDT, with FOX providing live television coverage.
