LOUISVILLE, April 17, 2007 - UPS (NYSE: UPS) today unveiled a special paint scheme for the #44 UPS Toyota Camry honoring the company's 100th anniversary and identified the UPS employee who designed it through a special contest.

Joe Hill, a field support technician at UPS Worldport here, was named the winner of the paint scheme contest. Hill will have the opportunity to watch Dale Jarrett race the #44 UPS Centennial Toyota in person when the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series visits Bristol Motor Speedway on Aug. 25 for the Sharpie 500.
"We've had paint scheme programs in the past that generated opportunities for children to create a special look for the UPS car," said Laura Kouns, UPS's motorsports marketing manager. "With our 100th birthday falling in 2007, this was a perfect opportunity to give employees the opportunity to come up with the design."
Hill was one of 10 finalists selected from the 150 entries submitted for the contest. UPS employees determined the winner by voting at an internal website. The winning design received more than 900 of the 4,300 votes cast. Jarrett was on hand in Louisville to unveil Hill's winning paint scheme as well as to award the 18-year UPS employee a pair of tickets to the Sharpie 500. Hill enjoys restoring classic cars and says he's collected most of Dale Jarrett's die-cast model race cars.
"I've been fortunate to be part of some pretty big moments for UPS," Jarrett said. "I speak for myself and everyone at Michael Waltrip Racing when I say that it's an honor to be able to celebrate this 100th anniversary with UPS and all of its more than 400,000 employees worldwide. We wish everyone at UPS a happy anniversary and continued success for the next 100 years."
